Common Causes Of Hair Loss In Men

Knowing the common causes of hair loss will lead to the proper diagnosis of this predicament that each men may have. Once the diagnosis is made properly, treatments may be properly taken care of and administered to the patient by health experts.

The hair loss causes for men are quite similar with those that trigger women's hair loss. There are a lot of studies which have shown how some factors have affected hair decrease on both genders. For men alone, the following topics could help you understand why men have diminishing hair lines.

Oil infection and hair loss in men

When sebum mixes with dirt or hair care product residues in the scalp, it leaves some traces that will clog the pore area. The bacteria from the hardened substance destroy the follicles thereby resulting to hair loss and baldness.

Hair growth is hampered when the supposed nutrients could not enter due to the tar-like substance which has been a result of the mixing of oil and other infectious materials. This then leads to a greater problem on male-patterned baldness.

Hormones, DHT and hair loss in men

DHT is a powerful substance that results from the mixing of testosterone and sebum. These substances are regarded as the real villain for hair retention. It shuts down the follicles which results to its death. Androgenetic alopecia is the type of hair loss caused by DHT.

The effect of a clogged follicle is actually the deterioration of the hair bulb. When the hair bulb starts to grow smaller, the root of the hair becomes weak, thus resulting to thinning of the hair. This cycle repeats itself, that is why men suffers hair thinning and baldness.

Hormones, on the other hand, are results of body actions and reactions which may lead to imbalance. These glands distribute the substances directly into the bloodstream so that the chemicals can be allocated to the entire system.

Other causes of hair loss in men

Poor circulation due to stress is also tagged as one of the main culprits of hair loss. A tight scalp due to stress prevents the scalp's blood vessels and other vital nutrients to reach the hair follicles thus blocking the passageway for hair growth possibilities.

Other contributory factors that lead to hair loss are hereditary in nature. Hair loss genes may be inherited from both parents. The recessive and dominant genes from both parents are known to at least be a cause of hair fall. However, you need not fear as there are studies being made to know the extent at which genes could truly affect baldness.

Age may also be one of the causes to this threatening problem. As an individual grows older, his total hair volume will decrease, even if there are no bright ideas as to the hair loss dilemma. Hair begins to shrink in length and in and should be anticipated with aging. The end result could then go to thinning of the hair line, and total hair loss when things become worst.
