There are a wide variety of causes that seemingly lead to notions about hair loss in men. Some of them are facts, but some may be myths. The latter need not be discarded for in some ways they could really lead to this disturbing problem. We have to understand why certain things happen and why they are involved in the hair loss problem.
DHT and androgen are the most common causes of hair loss. DHT is a type of hormone that helps in the sexual development of an individual from birth to puberty. This hormone had been in our bodies ever since time knows when. This simply means that it is innate in us to have this even if we have full-bodied hair which we can boast about. The real problem occurs when hormones and genes start to be altered which in turn affects the growth of hair follicles.
The DHT and the androgen receptors that exist in the healthy hair follicles join together. Later on, they carry out the processes which regulate hair growth. These and regulate the normal growth of the hair. These two act as receptors which aid in the distribution of proteins in the entire hair.
DHT, aging and hair loss in men
When men reach a certain age, these processes may change. There could be an extraordinary production of DHT which then causes imbalance in the hair shafts and the entire biology of the hair. Any overactive response could slow down hair growth but if everything else is normal, you need not worry about hair loss.
The decaying process of the hair follicles may only be apparent after a number of years. Results may however be seen earlier in the scalp of the person affected. The resting phase of the hair cycle has a lot to say with this incident. During such period, the follicles seem to grow shorter or in severe cases it may not blossom at all. In the long run, male baldness will be a problem.
Inflammation and hair loss in men
Inflammation is considered one of the factors that can aggravate hair loss in men. The scalp is said to be inflamed if it experiences any of the following: tingling, flaking, itching and redness. This could be treated by using a noted brand of shampoos and conditioners which could work for the scalp area. Apparently, the best shampoo brand could be Nizoral shampoo which has ketoconazole. This product is sure to address all the signs associated with inflammation of the scalp.
Stopping hair loss in men
To stop hair loss, and to have a healthy looking hair, you should continue to take proper care of your scalp and hair. This could be done by using all the natural method and products that can help you achieve a beautiful and healthy looking hair and scalp. Should these things work, then you would be at a better hand. Otherwise, the problem may worsen and you may be depressed about it. In order to avoid the latter, proper consultation should be done immediately.
